अभिमन्त्र्य यथान्यायं स्तम्भानुत्थापयेच्छुचिः । 'यथाऽचलो गिरिर्मेरुर्हिमवांश्च महाबलः ॥ ६१॥

After properly consecrating, the pillar should be raised, saying: "Just as Mount Meru, the great and immovable mountain, and the mighty Himalayas are steadfast..."

english translation

abhimantrya yathAnyAyaM stambhAnutthApayecchuciH | 'yathA'calo girirmerurhimavAMzca mahAbalaH || 61||

जयावहो नरेन्द्रस्य तथा त्वमचलो भव ।' स्तम्भद्वारं च भित्तिं च नेपथ्यगृहमेव च ॥ ६२॥

"May you be immovable, like the victorious king! Similarly, the pillar, the doorway, the walls, and the backstage should all be established."

jayAvaho narendrasya tathA tvamacalo bhava |' stambhadvAraM ca bhittiM ca nepathyagRhameva ca || 62||

एवमुत्थापयेतज्ज्ञो विधिदृष्टेन कर्मणा । रङ्गपीठस्य पार्श्वे तु कर्तव्या मत्तवारणी ॥ ६३॥

Thus, the pillar should be raised according to the prescribed method, with the proper action, and a decorated elephant (mattavarani) should be placed beside the stage.

चतुस्तम्भसमायुक्ता रङ्गपीठप्रमाणतः । अध्यर्धहस्तोत्सेधेन कर्तव्या मत्तवारणी ॥ ६४॥

The stage, connected with four pillars, should be constructed according to the standard measurements. An elephant (mattavarani) should be placed beside it, with the height equal to that of a half-arm's length.

उत्सेधेन तयोस्तुल्यं कर्तव्यं रङ्गमण्डपम् । तस्यां माल्यं च धूपं च गन्धं वस्त्रं तथैव च ॥ ६५॥

The stage should be constructed with equal height to that of the pillars. It should be adorned with garlands, incense, fragrance, and appropriate clothing.
