तस्माद्योग्याप्रसिध्यर्थमाहारे यत्नवान् भवेत् । अशुद्धकायं प्रक्लान्तमतीवक्षुत्पिपासितम् ॥ १०१॥
Therefore, to maintain physical fitness, one should be careful about nourishment. Exercise should not be undertaken when the body is unclean, excessively fatigued, extremely hungry, or thirsty.

tasmAdyogyAprasidhyarthamAhAre yatnavAn bhavet । azuddhakAyaM praklAntamatIvakSutpipAsitam ॥ 101॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअतिपीतं तथा भुक्तं व्यायामं नैव कारयेत् । अचलैर्मधुरैगात्रैश्चतुरश्रेण वक्षसा ॥ १०२॥
Exercise should not be undertaken after excessive drinking or eating. It should be performed with a steady and graceful body, with a well-formed square chest.

atipItaM tathA bhuktaM vyAyAmaM naiva kArayet । acalairmadhuraigAtraizcaturazreNa vakSasA ॥ 102॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यायामं कारयेद्धीमान् नरमङ्गक्रियात्मकम् । एवं व्यायामसंयोगे कार्यश्चारीकृतो विधिः । अत ऊर्ध्वं प्रवक्ष्यामि मण्डलानां विकल्पनम् ॥ १०३॥
The wise should make a person perform exercises involving bodily movements. Thus, in connection with exercise, the rules of Cārīs should be followed. Hereafter, I shall describe the variations of Maṇḍalas.

vyAyAmaM kArayeddhImAn naramaGgakriyAtmakam । evaM vyAyAmasaMyoge kAryazcArIkRto vidhiH । ata UrdhvaM pravakSyAmi maNDalAnAM vikalpanam ॥ 103॥
