Afflicted by Partha’s arrows, Dushasana fled from the combat- Then Vikarna, son of Dhritarashtra, struck Arjuna—the slayer of hostile heroes—with sharp, straight arrows tipped like vulture wings-
'Then, piercing him swiftly with five arrows in succession, he departed from the battlefield, leaving the valiant Arjuna struck and wounded.' ॥ 4-56-22 ॥
