तरिगर्तानां वयं हेतॊर मत्स्यान यॊद्धुम इहागताः मत्स्यानां विप्रकारांस ते बहून अस्मान अकीर्तयन ॥ ४-४२-९ ॥

'We came to fight the Matsyas on behalf of the Trigartas, for we had been told of the many acts of oppression committed by the Matsyas.' ।। 4-42-9 ।।

tarigartAnAM vayaM hetòra matsyAna yòddhuma ihAgatAH matsyAnAM viprakArAMsa te bahUna asmAna akIrtayana ॥ 4-42-9 ॥
