कलेशितश च वने शूरॊ वासवेन च शिक्षितः अमर्षवशम आपन्नॊ यॊत्स्यते नात्र संशयः ।। ४-३७-११ ।।
'Oppressed long in the forest and now roused in wrath, he comes like a storm. In arms, he was instructed by Indra himself and is equal to him in battle. Therefore, O Kauravas, I see no warrior here who can stand against him.' ।। 4-37-11 ।।
'It is said that even Lord Mahadeva, disguised as a hunter on the slopes of Himavat, was pleased with this son of Pritha after testing him in combat.' ।। 4-37-12 ।।
[कर्ण] सदा भवान फल्गुनस्य गुणैर अस्मान विकत्थसे न चार्जुनः कला पूर्णा मम दुर्यॊधनस्य वा ।। ४-३७-१३ ।।
'Hearing these words, Karna said: "You are always belittling us by exalting the virtues of Phalguna. But Arjuna is not even a sixteenth part of myself—let alone of Duryodhana!"' ।। 4-37-13 ।।
'Then Duryodhana said: "If this indeed is Partha, O Radheya, then my purpose is already accomplished—for once discovered, the Pandavas must return to the forest for another twelve years."' ।। 4-37-14 ।।
