पुण्यगन्धाः सरजस तत्र नित्यपुष्पफलद्रुमाः रसवन्ति च तॊयानि शीतान्य उष्णानि चैव ह ॥ २-८-६ ॥
'In that mansion, there are abundant enjoyable articles, along with sweet, juicy, agreeable, and delicious edibles of various kinds that are licked, sucked, and drunk. The floral wreaths emit the most delightful fragrance, and the surrounding trees bear fruits as desired. The waters, both cold and hot, are sweet and agreeable.' ॥ 2-8-6 ॥

तस्यां राजर्षयः पुण्यास तथा बरह्मर्षयॊ ऽमलाः यमं वैवस्वतं तात परहृष्टाः पर्युपासते ॥ २-८-७ ॥
'In that celestial abode, numerous royal sages of profound sanctity, as well as pure Brahmana sages, joyfully attend and worship Yama, the son of Vivasvat.' ॥ 2-8-7 ॥

ययातिर नहुषः पूरुर मान्धाता सॊमकॊ नृगः तरसदस्युश च तुरयः कृतवीर्यः शरुतश्रवाः ॥ २-८-८ ॥
'Yayati, Nahusha, Puru, Mandhata, Somaka, Nriga, Tarsa, and Dushmanta, and Karusha, the eighth, all of great renown, were in that mansion, delighting in the company of one another.' ॥ 2-8-8 ॥

अरिप्रणुत सुसिंहश च कृतवेगः कृतिर निमिः परतर्दनः शिबिर मत्स्यः पृथ्व अक्षॊ ऽथ बृहद्रथः ॥ २-८-९ ॥
'Aripunuta, Susimha, Kritavega, Kriti, Nimi, Paratardana, Shibi, Matsya, Prithu, Aksha, and the mighty Bhradratha were also present there, each known for their valor and prowess.' ॥ 2-8-9 ॥

ऐडॊ मरुत्तः कुशिकः सांकाश्यः सांकृतिर भवः चतुरश्वः सदश्वॊर्मिः कार्तवीर्यश च पार्थिवः ॥ २-८-१० ॥
'Adi, Marutta, Kushika, Sankashya, Sankriti, Bhava, Chaturashva, Sadashva, Urmi, Kartavirya, the illustrious king.' ॥ 2-8-10 ॥
