न कालॊ दण्डम उद्यम्य शिरॊ कृन्तति कस्य चित कालस्य बलम एतावद विपरीतार्थ दर्शनम ॥ २-७२-११ ॥
'Time, which brings about destruction, does not come wielding a club to strike one’s head. Instead, its nature is to make a person perceive evil as good and good as evil.' ॥ 2-72-11 ॥
english translation
na kAlò daNDama udyamya zirò kRntati kasya cita kAlasya balama etAvada viparItArtha darzanama ॥ 2-72-11 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआसादितम इदं घॊरं तुमुलं लॊमहर्षणम पाञ्चालीम अपकर्षद्भिः सभामध्ये तपस्विनीम ॥ २-७२-१२ ॥
'The wretches have thus brought upon themselves a great and terrible destruction by dragging the helpless princess of Panchala into the court.' ॥ 2-72-12 ॥

AsAditama idaM ghòraM tumulaM lòmaharSaNama pAJcAlIma apakarSadbhiH sabhAmadhye tapasvinIma ॥ 2-72-12 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअयॊनिजां रूपवतीं कुले जातां विभावरीम कॊ नु तां सर्वधर्मज्ञां परिभूय यशस्विनीम ॥ २-७२-१३ ॥
'Who other than Duryodhana, the deceitful player of dice, could drag into the assembly, with insults, the daughter of Drupada? She, endowed with beauty and wisdom, versed in all principles of morality and duty and born not from a woman's womb but from the sacred fire, was subjected to such disgrace.' ॥ 2-72-13 ॥

'He brought into the middle of the assembly The beautiful, virtuous wife, stained with blood, Except for the one who had lost badly at dice.' ॥ 2-72-14 ॥

'The beautiful Krishna, during her period of purification and clad in a single stained garment, was brought into the court.' ॥ 2-72-15 ॥
