सूक्ष्मान परावारान अजिनानि चॊदितान; दृष्ट्वारण्ये निर्धनान अप्रतिष्ठान कां तवं परीतिं लप्स्यसे याज्ञसेनि; पतिं वृणीष्व यम इहान्यम इच्छसि ॥ २-६८-११ ॥
'O Yajnaseni, what joy will you find in seeing your husbands clad in skins and tattered rags, living in the forest and stripped of all their wealth and possessions? Choose a husband from among those present here, whoever you like, if you seek someone worthy.' ॥ 2-68-11 ॥
english translation
एते हि सर्वे कुरवः समेताः; कषान्ता दान्ताः सुद्रविणॊपपन्नाः एषां वृणीष्वैकतमं पतित्वे; न तवां तपेत कालविपर्ययॊ ऽयम ॥ २-६८-१२ ॥
'These Kauravas assembled here are all forbearing, self-controlled, and wealthy. Choose one of them as your lord to avoid further misfortune.' ॥ 2-68-12 ॥
english translation
यथाफलाः षण्ढतिला यथा चर्ममया मृगाः तथैव पाण्डवाः सर्वे यथा काकयवा अपि ॥ २-६८-१३ ॥
'The Pandavas are now like kernels without sesame seeds, like show-animals dressed in skins, or like grains of rice without their kernels.' ॥ 2-68-13 ॥
english translation
किं पाण्डवांस तवं पतितान उपास्से; मॊघः शरमः षण्ढतिलान उपास्य एवं नृशंसः परुषाणि पार्थान; अश्रावयद धृतराष्ट्रस्य पुत्रः ॥ २-६८-१४ ॥
'Why do you continue to wait for these fallen sons of Pandu? Efforts on such empty sesame seeds are futile! Thus did Dushasana, the son of Dhritarashtra, speak cruel and harsh words in the presence of the Pandavas.' ॥ 2-68-14 ॥

तद वै शरुत्वा भीमसेनॊ ऽतयमर्षी; निर्भर्त्स्यॊच्चैस तं निगृह्यैव रॊषात उवाचेदं सहसैवॊपगम्य; सिंहॊ यथा हैमवतः शृगालम ॥ २-६८-१५ ॥
'Upon hearing this, the ever-forbearing Bhima, enraged, approached Dushasana like a Himalayan lion attacking a jackal. He then rebuked him loudly and severely, saying.' ॥ 2-68-15 ॥
