बलेन मत्ता ये ते सम धार्तराष्ट्रान परहासिषुः ते निर्जिता हृतधना वनम एष्यन्ति पाण्डवाः ।। २-६८-६ ।।
'Those who once, proud of their wealth, mocked the son of Dhritarashtra, will now face exile in the forest, stripped of all their possessions and defeated by us.' ।। 2-68-6 ।।
'Let them now cast aside their colorful armor and resplendent celestial robes, and attire themselves in deer-skins, as stipulated by the wager with the son of Suvala.' ।। 2-68-7 ।।
न सन्ति लॊकेषु पुमांस ईदृशा; इत्य एव ये भावितबुद्धयः सदा जञास्यन्ति ते तमानम इमे ऽदय पाण्डवा; विपर्यये षण्ढतिला इवाफलाः ।। २-६८-८ ।।
'Those who once boasted of their unparalleled greatness will now realize, in their misfortune, that they are like sesame seeds without kernels.' ।। 2-68-8 ।।
अयं हि वासॊदय ईदृशानां; मनस्विनां कौरव मा भवेद वः अदीक्षितानाम अजिनानि यद्वद; बलीयसां पश्यत पाण्डवानाम ।। २-६८-९ ।।
'Though the Pandavas, dressed in these deer-skins, may appear as if they are wise and mighty persons engaged in a sacrifice, they are actually unfit for such rites in this guise.' ।। 2-68-9 ।।
'The wise Yajnasena of the Somake lineage, having given his daughter, the princess of Panchala, to the sons of Pandu, has acted most unfortunately. These sons of Pritha, now in their present state, are like eunuchs.' ।। 2-68-10 ।।
