[भम] नाहं कुप्ये सूतपुत्रस्य राजन्न; एष सत्यं दासधर्मः परविष्टः किं विद्विषॊ वाद्य मां धारयेयुर; नादेवीस तवं यद्य अनया नरेन्द्र ।। २-६३-७ ।।

sanskrit

'O king, I cannot be angry with the words of this son of a charioteer, for we have indeed fallen into a state of servitude. But tell me, could our enemies have dared to say such things to me if you had not staked this princess in the game?' ।। 2-63-7 ।।

english translation

[bhama] nAhaM kupye sUtaputrasya rAjanna; eSa satyaM dAsadharmaH paraviSTaH kiM vidviSò vAdya mAM dhArayeyura; nAdevIsa tavaM yadya anayA narendra || 2-63-7 ||
