'From direct perception comes testimony, and from hearing comes apprehension. Therefore, one who speaks the truth as a witness does not fall short in righteousness and purpose.' ।। 2-61-76 ।।
'And the mother of Sudhanwan is also more exalted than your mother. Thus, Sudhanwan is the master of life and is indeed superior to you.' ।। 2-61-78 ।।
[सुधन्वन] पुत्रस्नेहं परित्यज्य यस तवं धर्मे परतिष्ठितः अनुजानामि ते पुत्रं जीवत्व एष शतं समाः ।। २-६१-७९ ।।
'Hearing this, Sudhanwan, acknowledging Prahlada's adherence to virtue despite his personal affection, declared, "Since you have remained steadfast in righteousness, I grant that your son shall live for a hundred years."' ।। 2-61-79 ।।
[वि] एवं वै परमं धर्मं शरुत्वा सर्वे सभा सदः यथा परश्नं तु कृष्णाया मन्यध्वं तत्र किं परम ।। २-६१-८० ।।
'Vidura continued, Let all the persons, therefore, present in this assembly hearing these high truths of morality, reflect upon what should be the answer to the question asked by Draupadi.' ।। 2-61-80 ।।
