समक्ष दर्शनात साक्ष्यं शरवणाच चेति धारणात तस्मात सत्यं बरुवन साक्षी धर्मार्थाभ्यां न हीयते ॥ २-६१-७६ ॥
'From direct perception comes testimony, and from hearing comes apprehension. Therefore, one who speaks the truth as a witness does not fall short in righteousness and purpose.' ॥ 2-61-76 ॥
