'The Pratikamin said, "When there was nothing else left to stake, it was then that Ajatasatru, the son of Pandu, staked you. The king first staked his brothers, then himself, and finally you, O princess."' ।। 2-60-6 ।।
'Draupadi said, "O son of the Suta race, go and ask the gambler in the assembly whom he lost first—himself or me. Once you have ascertained this, come back and take me with you, O son of the Suta race."' ।। 2-60-7 ।।
'Vaisampayana continued: "The messenger returned to the assembly and relayed Draupadi's words to everyone present. He then addressed Yudhishthira, who was seated among the kings, saying, 'Draupadi asks you: At the time you lost her in the game, whom did you stake first—yourself or her?'"' ।। 2-60-8 ।।
