'Even the omniscient Kavya, who understood the thoughts of all beings and struck fear into all enemies, said this to the great Asuras to persuade them to abandon Jambha at his birth.' ।। 2-55-11 ।।
'It is said that a certain king, having invited several wild birds that emitted gold to reside in his home, eventually killed them out of temptation.' ।। 2-55-12 ।।
सदॊपभॊज्याँल लॊभान्धॊ हिरण्यार्थे परंतप आयातिं च तदा तवं च उभे सद्यॊ वयनाशयत ।। २-५५-१३ ।।
'O slayer of foes, blinded by temptation and the desire for enjoyment, the king, in pursuit of gold, destroyed both his present and future gains simultaneously.' ।। 2-55-13 ।।
'Therefore, O king, do not pursue the Pandavas out of desire for profit, as in the story of the king. For, like the person who killed the birds, you will later regret your actions when blinded by folly.' ।। 2-55-14 ।।
जातं जातं पाण्डवेभ्यः पुष्पम आदत्स्व भारत माला कार इवारामे सनेहं कुर्वन पुनः पुनः ।। २-५५-१५ ।।
'Like a flower-seller who daily plucks flowers from the trees he cherishes with affection, continue, O Bharata, to honor the Pandavas with your respect and attention day by day.' ।। 2-55-15 ।।
