'Yudhishthira said, "You have won this round by deceit, O Shakuni. Do not be so arrogant. Let us continue the game, wagering thousands upon thousands."' ।। 2-54-1 ।।
'I possess numerous exquisite jars, each filled with a thousand Nishkas, along with an inexhaustible supply of gold, silver, and other precious minerals. This, O King, is the wealth I stake against you!' ।। 2-54-2 ।।
'Vaiśampāyana continued, "Upon hearing this, Shakuni spoke to Yudhishthira, the eldest of the Pandavas and the noble chief of the Kuru lineage, saying, 'Behold, I have won!'"' ।। 2-54-3 ।।
'Yudhishthira said,"Here is a chariot, drawn by a thousand horses, well-maintained and splendid, adorned with beautiful wheels and accessories, and decorated with a canopy of tinkling bells."' ।। 2-54-4 ।।
'Adorned with strings of little bells that sound like the roar of clouds or the ocean, this chariot is drawn by eight noble steeds renowned throughout the kingdom, as white as moonbeams, and swift beyond measure.' ।। 2-54-5 ।।
