[द] विहनिष्यति ते बुद्धिं विदुरॊ मुक्तसंशयः पाण्डवानां हिते युक्तॊ न तथा मम कौरव ॥ २-५१-६ ॥
'Duryodhana said, 'Vidura is always engaged in doing good to the sons of Pandu. O Kaurava, his feelings towards us are otherwise.'' ॥ 2-51-6 ॥
english translation
[da] vihaniSyati te buddhiM vidurò muktasaMzayaH pANDavAnAM hite yuktò na tathA mama kaurava ॥ 2-51-6 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनारभेत परसामर्थ्यात पुरुषः कार्यम आत्मनः मतिसाम्यं दवयॊर नास्ति कार्येषु कुरुनन्दन ॥ २-५१-७ ॥
'He will, without doubt, dissuade you from the proposed action. No man should commit to a task-based solely on another's counsel, for, O descendant of the Kurus, the minds of two individuals rarely align on a single course of action.' ॥ 2-51-7 ॥

nArabheta parasAmarthyAta puruSaH kAryama AtmanaH matisAmyaM davayòra nAsti kAryeSu kurunandana ॥ 2-51-7 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptभयं परिहरन मन्द आत्मानं परिपालयन वर्षासु कलिन्नकटवत तिष्ठन्न एवावसीदति ॥ २-५१-८ ॥
'The fool who avoids all sources of fear and remains passive, like an insect in the rainy season, wastes away.' ॥ 2-51-8 ॥

bhayaM pariharana manda AtmAnaM paripAlayana varSAsu kalinnakaTavata tiSThanna evAvasIdati ॥ 2-51-8 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन वयाधयॊ नापि यमः शरेयः पराप्तिं परतीक्षते यावद एव भवेत कल्पस तावच छरेयॊ समाचरेत ॥ २-५१-९ ॥
'Neither illness nor death waits for one's prosperity. Therefore, as long as one has life and health, one should strive to achieve one's goals without waiting for favorable conditions.' ॥ 2-51-9 ॥

na vayAdhayò nApi yamaH zareyaH parAptiM paratIkSate yAvada eva bhaveta kalpasa tAvaca chareyò samAcareta ॥ 2-51-9 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscript[ध] सर्वथा पुत्रबलिभिर विग्रहं ते न रॊचये वैरं विकारं सृजति तद वै शस्त्रम अनायसम ॥ २-५१-१० ॥
'Dhritarashtra said, "O son, I cannot approve of hostility towards those who are strong. Such enmity only fosters discord and is, in itself, a weapon even though not made of steel."' ॥ 2-51-10 ॥
