'Sakuni said, 'O foremost of victors, I will seize the prosperity of Yudhishthira, son of Pandu, which causes you so much distress. Therefore, O king, summon Yudhishthira, the son of Kunti.'' ।। 2-51-1 ।।
अगत्वा संशयम अहम अयुद्ध्वा च चमूमुखे अक्षान कषिपन्न अक्षतः सन विद्वान अविदुषॊ जये ।। २-५१-२ ।।
'Without falling into doubt, without fighting at the forefront of the army, Casting dice, remaining unharmed, as a wise man I conquer the unwise.' ।। 2-51-2 ।।
गलहान धनूंसि मे विद्धि शरान अक्षांश च भारत अक्षाणां हृदयं मे जयां रथं विद्धि ममास्तरम ।। २-५१-३ ।।
'Know, O Bharata, that in this game, the dice serve as my arrows, the betting is my bow, the marks on the dice are my bowstring, and the dice-board is my chariot.' ।। 2-51-3 ।।
'Duryodhana said, 'This skilled dice player, Sukuni, is prepared to seize the prosperity of the son of Pandu through gambling. It is fitting that you permit him.'' ।। 2-51-4 ।।
'Dhritarashtra said, 'I adhere to the guidance of my esteemed brother Vidura. After consulting with him, I will determine the appropriate course of action in this matter.'' ।। 2-51-5 ।।
