[व] एवम उक्त्वा धृतरास्थ्रॊ मनीषी; दैवं मत्वा परमं दुस्तरं च शशासॊच्चैः पुरुषान पुत्र वाक्ये; सथितॊ राजा दैवसंमूढचेताः ।। २-५१-१६ ।।
'Vaisampayana continued: “Thus addressed, the feeble-minded Dhritarashtra considered fate as supreme and unavoidable. Overcome by destiny and guided by his son's counsel, the king, bereft of reason, issued his commands to his subjects in a loud voice, saying—”' ।। 2-51-16 ।।
'Carefully construct, without loss of time, an assembly house of the most beautiful description, to be called the crystal-arched palace with a thousand columns, decked with gold and lapis lazuli, furnished with a hundred gates, and full two miles in length and breadth the same.' ।। 2-51-17 ।।
'Upon hearing the king's command, the artisans, skilled and unhesitant, promptly began their work. They gathered all the necessary materials for the construction of the hall and set to work swiftly. Thousands of craftsmen, well-versed in their art, were employed to complete the assembly hall efficiently.' ।। 2-51-18 ।।
'After some time, the artisans completed the assembly hall, which was adorned with various precious gems and had become a delightful and splendid place. It was embellished with intricate golden designs and seats made of precious materials. The artisans, satisfied with their work, informed the king, who was greatly pleased with the result.' ।। 2-51-19 ।।
'Then King Dhritarashtra, who was learned and wise, summoned Vidura, his chief minister, and said: "Proceed to Khandavaprastha and bring Prince Yudhishthira here without delay."' ।। 2-51-20 ।।
