'Duryodhana said: “Those kings who are revered throughout the world, devoted to truth, and committed to rigorous vows, who are deeply learned and eloquent, well-versed in the Vedas and their branches, and skilled in the performance of sacrifices.' ।। 2-49-1 ।।
'Those kings who embody piety and modesty, whose souls are dedicated to virtue, who possess great renown, and who have undergone grand coronation rites—all these kings wait upon and revere Yudhishthira.' ।। 2-49-2 ।।
'And, O king, I saw many thousands of wild herds of cows (a breed known as Kamsyadohana) accompanied by numerous white copper vessels for milking, all brought by the kings of the earth as sacrificial offerings to be given by Yudhishthira to the Brahmanas.' ।। 2-49-3 ।।
'There, the kings, engaged in the task themselves, with great respect and without any delay, brought up high and low vessels for the anointment of the king (Yudhishthira) with reverence.' ।। 2-49-4 ।।
