सुनीथॊ ऽपरतिमं तस्य अनुकर्षं महायशाः धवजं चेदिपतिः कषिप्रम अहार्षीत सवयम उद्यतम ।। २-४९-६ ।।

sanskrit

'Sunitha, of great might, affixed the lower pole, and the ruler of Chedi personally set up the flagstaff.' ।। 2-49-6 ।।

english translation

sunIthò 'paratimaM tasya anukarSaM mahAyazAH dhavajaM cedipatiH kaSiprama ahArSIta savayama udyatama || 2-49-6 ||

hk transliteration

दाक्षिणात्यः संनहनं सरग उष्णीषे च मागधः वसु दानॊ महेष्वासॊ गजेन्द्रं षष्टिहायनम ।। २-४९-७ ।।

sanskrit

'The king of the Southern region stood ready with a coat of mail; the ruler of Magadha brought garlands of flowers and a splendid headgear; the great warrior Vasudana provided an elephant of sixty years' age; and the king of Matsya contributed the side-fittings of the chariot.' ।। 2-49-7 ।।

english translation

dAkSiNAtyaH saMnahanaM saraga uSNISe ca mAgadhaH vasu dAnò maheSvAsò gajendraM SaSTihAyanama || 2-49-7 ||

मत्स्यस तव अक्षान अवाबध्नाद एकलव्य उपानहौ आवन्त्यस तव अभिषेकार्थम आपॊ बहुविधास तथा ।। २-४९-८ ।।

'King Matsya provided the wheels, all encased in gold; King Ekalavya supplied the shoes; King Avanti brought various types of water for the final bath;' ।। 2-49-8 ।।

matsyasa tava akSAna avAbadhnAda ekalavya upAnahau Avantyasa tava abhiSekArthama Apò bahuvidhAsa tathA || 2-49-8 ||

चेकितान उपासङ्गं धनुः काश्य उपाहरत असिं रुक्मत्सरुं शल्यः शैक्यं काञ्चनभूषणम ।। २-४९-९ ।।

sanskrit

'King Chekitana contributed the quiver; King Kasi offered the bow; and King Salya provided a sword, with its hilt and straps adorned with gold.' ।। 2-49-9 ।।

cekitAna upAsaGgaM dhanuH kAzya upAharata asiM rukmatsaruM zalyaH zaikyaM kAJcanabhUSaNama || 2-49-9 ||

अभ्यषिञ्चत ततॊ धौम्यॊ वयासश च सुमहातपाः नारदं वै पुरस्कृत्य देवलं चासितं मुनिम ।। २-४९-१० ।।

sanskrit

'Then Dhaumya and Vyasa, renowned for their great ascetic merit, together with Narada and Devala, the son of Asita, performed the ceremony of sprinkling the sacred water over the king, standing before him with great reverence.' ।। 2-49-10 ।।
