'The king of the Southern region stood ready with a coat of mail; the ruler of Magadha brought garlands of flowers and a splendid headgear; the great warrior Vasudana provided an elephant of sixty years' age; and the king of Matsya contributed the side-fittings of the chariot.' ।। 2-49-7 ।।
'King Matsya provided the wheels, all encased in gold; King Ekalavya supplied the shoes; King Avanti brought various types of water for the final bath;' ।। 2-49-8 ।।
'King Chekitana contributed the quiver; King Kasi offered the bow; and King Salya provided a sword, with its hilt and straps adorned with gold.' ।। 2-49-9 ।।
