परमीयमानम आरब्धं पच्यमानं तथैव च विसृज्यमानं चान्यत्र पुण्याहस्वन एव च ।। २-४८-३७ ।।
'And innumerable pots were being cooked, and those being distributed elsewhere, all for the sacrificial rites and the purification ceremonies.' ।। 2-48-37 ।।
'I saw that in Yudhishthira’s abode, no one was left unsatisfied, unpleased, or without enough food, regardless of their caste or status.' ।। 2-48-38 ।।
अष्टाशीति सहस्राणि सनातका गृहमेधिनः तरिंशद दासीक एकैकॊ यान बिभर्ति युधिष्ठिरः सुप्रीताः परितुष्टाश च ते ऽपय आशंसन्त्य अरिक्षयम ।। २-४८-३९ ।।
'And eighty-eight thousand Snataka Brahmanas, leading domestic lives and supported by Yudhishthira, each with thirty serving-girls, gratified by the king, continually pray with contented hearts for the destruction of his enemies.' ।। 2-48-39 ।।
'Additionally, ten thousand other ascetics who have mastered their vital energies, dine daily from golden plates in Yudhishthira's palace.' ।। 2-48-40 ।।
