'And, O son, I always heed Vidura's advice. Just as the wise Uddhava is highly esteemed among the Vrishnis, so too is Vidura, possessed of great intelligence, regarded as the foremost among the Kurus.' ।। 2-46-11 ।।
दयूतेन तद अलं पुत्र दयूते भेदॊ हि दृश्यते भेदे विनाशॊ राज्यस्य तत पुत्र परिवर्जय ।। २-४६-१२ ।।
'Therefore, O son, avoid engaging in dice games, for it is clear that gambling breeds discord. Discord, in turn, leads to the ruin of the kingdom. Thus, O son, abandon this idea of gambling.' ।। 2-46-12 ।।
अधीतवान कृती शास्त्रे लालितः सततं गृहे भरातृज्येष्ठः सथितॊ राज्ये विन्दसे किं न शॊभनम ।। २-४६-१४ ।।
'You are well-versed in the scriptures, diligent in your studies, and have been lovingly nurtured at home. As the eldest of the Bharatas, you hold a position of honor in the kingdom. What could be more fitting and glorious than this?' ।। 2-46-14 ।।
'O mighty-armed one, you have access to the finest food and clothing, which are beyond the reach of ordinary people. Why, then, do you still grieve?' ।। 2-46-15 ।।
