तेन दैवं परं मन्ये पौरुषं तु निरर्थकम धार्तराष्ट्रा हि हीयन्ते पार्था वर्धन्ति नित्यशः ।। २-४३-३४ ।।

sanskrit

'Thus, I regard Fate as supreme and human efforts as fruitless. Observe how the sons of Dhritarashtra are diminishing while the sons of Pritha are continually growing in prosperity.' ।। 2-43-34 ।।

english translation

tena daivaM paraM manye pauruSaM tu nirarthakama dhArtarASTrA hi hIyante pArthA vardhanti nityazaH || 2-43-34 ||
