कृतॊ यत्नॊ मया पूर्वं विनाशे तस्य सौबल तच च सर्वम अतिक्रम्य सवृद्धॊ ऽपस्व इव पङ्कजम ॥ २-४३-३३ ॥
'O son of Suvala, I once made every effort to bring about his downfall. Yet, despite all my attempts, he has only grown in prosperity, like a lotus flourishing in a pool of water.' ॥ 2-43-33 ॥
english translation
kRtò yatnò mayA pUrvaM vinAze tasya saubala taca ca sarvama atikramya savRddhò 'pasva iva paGkajama ॥ 2-43-33 ॥
