अप्रमत्तः सथितॊ नित्यं परजाः पाहि विशां पते पर्जन्यम इव भूतानि महाद्रुमम इवाण्डजाः बान्धवास तवॊपजीवन्तु सहस्राक्षम इवामराः ॥ २-४२-५८ ॥

sanskrit

'O king of kings, nurture your subjects with unwavering vigilance and patience. Just as the clouds sustain all creatures, and the great tree provides shelter to birds, be a refuge and support to your relatives, like the thousand-eyed Indra is to the immortals.' ॥ 2-42-58 ॥

english translation

apramattaH sathitò nityaM parajAH pAhi vizAM pate parjanyama iva bhUtAni mahAdrumama ivANDajAH bAndhavAsa tavòpajIvantu sahasrAkSama ivAmarAH ॥ 2-42-58 ॥
