'You boast of your virtue, yet you witnessed your brother's widow bearing sons by another, according to the principles of righteousness. Where is your virtue, O Bhishma?.' ।। 2-38-23 ।।
न हि धर्मॊ ऽसति ते भीष्म बरह्मचर्यम इदं वृथा यद धारयसि मॊहाद वा कलीबत्वाद वा न संशयः ।। २-३८-२४ ।।
'O Bhishma, this celibacy you maintain, whether out of ignorance or impotence, is ultimately fruitless. You maintain it either out of delusion or due to a lack of capability, without any doubt.' ।। 2-38-24 ।।
