'Then Narada, clad in a black deer-skin, who knew both the past and the future and was well-versed in all worlds, spoke among the multitude with utmost clarity: 'Those who do not worship the lotus-eyed Krishna should be considered as dead despite being alive and should be avoided in all circumstances.'' ।। 2-36-7 ।।
'Shishupala then incited the assembled kings, asking, 'Shall we stand united and fight against the Vrishnis and the Pandavas?' Stirred by his words, the ruler of the Chedis and the other kings began to discuss ways to hinder the completion of the sacrifice. All the invited monarchs, led by Shishupala, appeared angry and their faces turned pale.' ।। 2-36-8 ।।
'The kings there spoke of Yudhishthira's coronation and the worship of Vasudeva (Krishna) out of their own conviction and without hesitation.' ।। 2-36-9 ।।
