तं बलौघम अपर्यन्तं राजसागरम अक्षयम कुर्वाणं समयं कृष्णॊ युद्धाय बुबुधे तदा ॥ २-३६-११ ॥
'Krishna then understood that the boundless ocean of kings was making preparations for war, their forces inexhaustible.' ॥ 2-36-11 ॥
english translation
पूजयित्वा तु पूजार्हं बरह्मक्षत्रं विशेषतः सहदेवॊ नृणां देवः समापयत कर्म तत ॥ २-३६-१२ ॥
'Having honored those worthy of worship, especially the Brahmins and Kshatriyas, Sahadeva, the god among men, completed that task.' ॥ 2-36-12 ॥

तस्मिन्न अभ्यर्चिते कृष्णे सुनीथः शत्रुकर्षणः अतिताम्रेक्षणः कॊपाद उवाच मनुजाधिपान ॥ २-३६-१३ ॥
'After Krishna had been worshipped, Shishupala, the foe of the Vrishnis, with his eyes red from anger, addressed the rulers of men with great fury.' ॥ 2-36-13 ॥

सथितः सेनापतिर वॊ ऽहं मन्यध्वं किं नु सांप्रतम युधि तिष्ठाम संनह्य समेतान वृष्णिपाण्डवान ॥ २-३६-१४ ॥
'I stand as your army commander; what do you think we should do now? Shall we stand ready for battle against the assembled Vrishnis and Pandavas?' ॥ 2-36-14 ॥

इति सर्वान समुत्साह्य राज्ञस तांश चेदिपुंगवः यज्ञॊपघाताय ततः सॊ ऽमन्त्रयत राजभिः ॥ २-३६-१५ ॥
'Having thus encouraged all those kings, the Chedi champion then consulted with the kings to disrupt the sacrifice.' ॥ 2-36-15 ॥
