अयं तु पुरुषॊ बालः शिशुपालॊ न बुध्यते सर्वत्र सर्वदा कृष्णं तस्माद एवं परभाषते ॥ २-३५-२६ ॥
'This Shishupala is merely a child and thus does not understand Krishna. Therefore, he speaks of Krishna in this manner, not recognizing his omnipresence and eternal nature.' ॥ 2-35-26 ॥
english translation
ayaM tu puruSò bAlaH zizupAlò na budhyate sarvatra sarvadA kRSNaM tasmAda evaM parabhASate ॥ 2-35-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptयॊ हि धर्मं विचिनुयाद उत्कृष्टं मतिमान नरः स वै पश्येद यथा धर्मं न तथा चेदिराड अयम ॥ २-३५-२७ ॥
'Indeed, an intelligent man who would discern the highest dharma would perceive dharma as it truly is, not like this king of Chedi.' ॥ 2-35-27 ॥
english translation
yò hi dharmaM vicinuyAda utkRSTaM matimAna naraH sa vai pazyeda yathA dharmaM na tathA cedirADa ayama ॥ 2-35-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptस वृद्धबालेष्व अथ वा पार्थिवेषु महात्मसु कॊ नार्हं मन्यते कृष्णं कॊ वाप्य एनं न पूजयेत ॥ २-३५-२८ ॥
'Among the young and old, and among these illustrious rulers of the earth, who does not regard Krishna as worthy of worship?' ॥ 2-35-28 ॥
english translation
sa vRddhabAleSva atha vA pArthiveSu mahAtmasu kò nArhaM manyate kRSNaM kò vApya enaM na pUjayeta ॥ 2-35-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअथेमां दुष्कृतां पूजां शिशुपालॊ वयवस्यति दुष्कृतायां यथान्यायं तथायं कर्तुम अर्हति ॥ २-३५-२९ ॥
'If Shishupala considers this worship undeserved, he should act according to what is proper in this matter.' ॥ 2-35-29 ॥

athemAM duSkRtAM pUjAM zizupAlò vayavasyati duSkRtAyAM yathAnyAyaM tathAyaM kartuma arhati ॥ 2-35-29 ॥
