ततॊ बृहन्तस तरुणॊ बलेन चतुरङ्गिना निष्क्रम्य नगरात तस्माद यॊधयाम आस पाण्डवम ॥ २-२४-६ ॥
'Vrihanta swiftly emerged from his city with his army comprising four divisions, engaging Falguna (Arjuna) in battle.' ॥ 2-24-6 ॥

सुमहान संनिपातॊ ऽभूद धनंजय बृहन्तयॊः न शशाक बृहन्तस तु सॊढुं पाण्डव विक्रमम ॥ २-२४-७ ॥
'The conflict between Vrihanta and Dhananjaya was fierce, as Vrihanta could not withstand the might of the son of Pandu.' ॥ 2-24-7 ॥
english translation
सॊ ऽविषह्यतमं जञात्वा कौन्तेयं पर्वतेश्वरः उपावर्तत दुर्मेधा रत्नान्य आदाय सर्वशः ॥ २-२४-८ ॥
'Then that invincible king of the mountainous region regarding the son of Kunti irresistible, approached him with all his wealth.' ॥ 2-24-8 ॥

स तद राज्यम अवस्थाप्य कुलूत सहितॊ ययौ सेना बिन्दुम अथॊ राजन राज्याद आशु समाक्षिपत ॥ २-२४-९ ॥
'Having established that kingdom, he returned to Kuluta along with Vrihanta. O King, he swiftly integrated the army with his kingdom.' ॥ 2-24-9 ॥

मॊदा पुरं वामदेवं सुदामानं सुसंकुलम कुलूतान उत्तरांश चैव तांश च राज्ञः समानयत ॥ २-२४-१० ॥
'He brought joy to the city of Vamadeva and to Sudaman, both flourishing, as well as to the northern regions and the subjects of the king.' ॥ 2-24-10 ॥
