'Desiring to defeat Jarasandha, they metaphorically placed their feet on the head of their enemy by attacking the immovable, massive, ancient, and revered Chaityaka mountain with their mighty arms. ' ।। 2-19-17 ।।
'The mountain stood firm with its vast, ancient, and towering peak, continuously adorned and well-established with garlands and floral tributes.' ।। 2-19-18 ।।
विपुलैर बाहुभिर वीरास ते ऽभिहत्याभ्यपातयन ततस ते मागधं दृष्ट्वा पुरं परविविशुस तदा ।। २-१९-१९ ।।
'They shattered the peak, which had always been honored with perfumes and floral offerings. And with joyful hearts they then entered the city.' ।। 2-19-19 ।।
'And it came to pass that the learned Brahmanas residing within the city observed many ill omens, which they promptly reported to Jarasandha. In response, the priest had the king mount an elephant and performed rituals with swirling lighted brands around him.' ।। 2-19-20 ।।
