सॊ ऽपि राजा जरासंधॊ यियक्षुर वसुधाधिपैः आराध्य हि महादेवं निर्जितास तेन पार्थिवाः ।। २-१३-६३ ।।
'O slayer of all foes, King Jarasandha, sought to offer a sacrifice of a hundred monarchs, revered for his intense ascetic penance to the illustrious lord of gods, the master of Uma.' ।। 2-13-63 ।।
स हि निर्जित्य निर्जित्य पार्थिवान पृतना गतान पुरम आनीय बद्ध्वा च चकार पुरुषव्रजम ।। २-१३-६४ ।।
'In this way, Jarasandha has vanquished the kings of the earth. O noblest of monarchs, through this accomplishment, he has fulfilled the vow he made regarding his sacrifice.' ।। 2-13-64 ।।
'By defeating the kings and their armies, and bringing all of them as captives into this city, he greatly increased its population. O king, similarly, due to fear of Jarasandha, we too had to leave Mathura at one point and flee to the city of Dwaravati.' ।। 2-13-65 ।।
