वयं चैव महाराज जरासंध भयात तदा मथुरां संपरित्यज्य गता दवारवतीं पुरीम ।। २-१३-६५ ।।

sanskrit

'By defeating the kings and their armies, and bringing all of them as captives into this city, he greatly increased its population. O king, similarly, due to fear of Jarasandha, we too had to leave Mathura at one point and flee to the city of Dwaravati.' ।। 2-13-65 ।।

english translation

vayaM caiva mahArAja jarAsaMdha bhayAta tadA mathurAM saMparityajya gatA davAravatIM purIma || 2-13-65 ||
