चारु देष्णः सह भरात्रा चक्रदेवॊ ऽथ सात्यकिः अहं च रौहिणेयश च साम्बः शौरि समॊ युधि ।। २-१३-५६ ।।
'Among them are Charudeshna and his brother Chakradeva, Satyaki, myself, Valadeva, the son of Rohini, and my son Samva, who is equal to me in battle.' ।। 2-13-56 ।।
'These seven, O king, are Atirathas. Apart from them, there are others whom I shall now name: Kritavarman, Anadhrishti, Samika, Samitinjaya.' ।। 2-13-57 ।।
कह्वः शङ्कुर निदान्तश च सप्तैवैते महारथाः पुत्रौ चान्धकभॊजस्य वृद्धॊ राजा च ते दश ।। २-१३-५८ ।।
'Kanka, Shanku, and Nidanta—these seven are the great chariot-warriors. Additionally, there are two sons of Andhakabhoja and the elderly king himself.' ।। 2-13-58 ।।
'Endowed with tremendous energy, these are all heroes, each as mighty as the thunderbolt. These Maharathas have chosen to dwell in the central regions among the Vrishnis.' ।। 2-13-59 ।।
स तवं सम्राड गुणैर युक्तः सदा भरतसत्तम कषत्रे सम्राजम आत्मानं कर्तुम अर्हसि भारत ।। २-१३-६० ।।
'O best of the Bharata lineage, you alone are worthy of being an emperor. It is fitting, O Bharata, for you to establish your empire over all the Kshatriyas.' ।। 2-13-60 ।।
