स्पर्धा का कारण --- वेश्या की माँ उसके नायकों से यह कहलवा दे कि सुबसन्तक आदि उत्सव पर यह उसी के साथ प्रथम समागम करेगी, जो इन इन वस्तुओं को लाकर उसे देगा ।। ४६ ।।

Even in the case of uncertainty about her profit and about her losses, relations can be performed by taking into account questions concerning ethics or pleasure. These are the reflections with regard to doubts concerning profits and risks in sexual relations.

पूर्ववत् अर्थसंशय और अनर्थसंशय की योजना कर लेनी चाहिये, साथ ही संकीर्ण को भी समझ लेना चाहिये। इसी प्रकार धर्म और काम के समन्ततो योग भी समझ लेने चाहिये। इस प्रकार अनुबन्ध, अर्थ, अनर्थ और संशयों के विचार पूर्ण हुए॥ ४९ ॥

The various kinds of prostitute are: the water carrier [kumbhadasi], the servant [paricharika], the corrupt woman [kulata], the lesbian [svairini], the dancer [nati], the worker [shilpakarika], the divorcee or widow [prakashavinashta], the harlot who lives on her charms [rupajiva], and the courtesan [ganika].

कुम्भदासी, परिचारिका, कुलटा, स्वैरिणी, नटी, शिल्पकारिका, प्रकाशविनष्टा, रूपाजीवा और गणिका ये वेश्या के भेद हैं ॥ ५० ॥
