एतेन रचितोद्ग्राहोदकानां ग्रीष्ये जलक्रीडागमनं व्याख्यातम् ॥ २६ ॥
During the summer, one goes where there is plenty of water, for water games.

जलक्रीड़ा-उद्यानविहार के समान ही ग्रीष्मकाल में जलविहार भी करना चाहिये, लेकिन यह उन कृत्रिम सरोवरों में ही होना चाहिये, जहाँ मगरमच्छ आदि का भय न हो ॥ २६ ॥

For the feast of the genies [Yaksharatri], people stay awake, in the moonlight, as they also do at the spring festival.

समस्याक्रीड़ा-पक्षरात्रि (दीपावली), कौमुदीजागर (सरत्पूर्णिमा) और सुवसन्तक पर्वो पर समस्याक्रीड़ा रखी जाती हैं ॥ २७ ॥

सहकारभञ्जिका, अभ्यूषखादिका, बिसखादिका, नवपत्रिका, उदकक्ष्वेडिका, पाञ्चालानुयानम्, एकशाल्मली, कदम्बयुद्धानि तास्ताश्च माहिमान्यो देश्याश्च क्रीडा जनेभ्यो विशिष्टमाचरेयुः । इति सम्भूयक्रीडाः ॥ २८ ॥
During parties in the country, one amuses oneself by opening mangoes, eating cakes and lotus stalks, gathering fresh leaves, imitating the cry of the lion by using bamboos filled with water, making puns, gathering the red cotton plant flowers, battling with kadamba fruits [Anthocephalus cadamba], praising one's respective country, playing games from different regions.

आंचलिक क्रीड़ा—सहकारभञ्जिका (वृक्ष से आम तोड़ना), अभ्यूषखादिका (कच्चे फलों को भूनकर खाना), मिसखादिका (कमलदण्ड खाना), नवपत्रिका (किसलयों से शृङ्गार), उदकश्वेड़िया (बाँस की पोरी में जल भरकर सिंहनाद करना), पाञ्चालानुयान (शालभञ्जिका या कठपुतली नृत्य), एकशाल्मली (शाल्मली वृक्ष पर क्रीड़ा करना), कदम्वयुद्ध (कदम्ब के फूलों से प्रहार करना)- इन आंचलिक और सार्वदेशिक क्रीड़ाओं को नागरकगण अपनी रुचि के अनुरूप खेलें। सामूहिक क्रीड़ाओं का वर्णन समाप्त हुआ ॥ २८ ॥

Later on, we shall describe the proper behavior of wellbred people with courtesans, with their mistresses, and with their friends.

इससे नागरकों के साथ ही गणिकाओं, नायिकाओं और सखियों का चरित भी कह दिया गया है, अर्थात् एकाकी होने पर गणिकाएँ, नायिकाएँ और सखियाँ भी अपने वैभव के अनुरूप ही सेवक सहचरों के साथ उत्सव मनायें ॥ ३० ॥
