अर्थेन रक्षिणमुपगृह्य साहसिकाः संहताः प्रविशन्ति हैमवतानाम् ॥ ३६ ॥
The men of the land of the snows [Haimata] boldly offer their services in the hope of obtaining recompense, but not otherwise.

हैमवतों की प्रवृत्ति हैमवतों में साहसी एवं तरुण व्यक्ति सुरक्षाकर्मियों को धन से अनुकूल बनाकर, एकत्र होकर, राजभवन में प्रवेश कर जाते हैं॥ ३६ ॥

पुष्पदाननियोगान्नगरन्ब्राह्मणा राजविदितमन्तःपुराणि गच्छन्ति । पटान्तरित- श्चैषामालापः । तेन प्रसङ्गेन व्यतिकरो भवति वङ्गाङ्गकलिङ्गकानाम् ॥ ३७ ॥
In the countries of Anga [Bhagalpur], Vanga [Bengal], and Kalinga [Orissa], the Brahmans employed in bringing flowers for the domestic rites, with the king's approval, enter the inner apartments. They speak with the unveiled women and, on this pretext, seduce them.

अंग-वंग और कलिङ्ग - अंग, बंग और कलिङ्ग देशों में नगर के ब्राह्मण पूजा के फूल देने राजभवनों में आते हैं। रानियाँ उनसे परदे के पीछे से बातें करती हैं और इसी प्रसंग में अवैध सम्बन्ध भी हो जाते हैं ॥ ३७ ॥

संहत्य नवदशेत्येकैकं युवानं प्रच्छादयन्ति प्राच्यानामिति । एवं परस्त्रियः प्रकुर्वीत । इत्यन्तःपुरिकावृत्तम् ॥ ३८ ॥
The people of the Eastern countries [Prachya] hide one young man in the gynoecium for each group of nine or ten women. Such are the ways of having relations with other men's wives.

प्राच्यों की प्रवृत्ति-नौ-दस स्त्रियाँ मिलकर एक चण्डवेग पुरुष को छिपाकर अन्तःपुर में रख लेती हैं - यह प्राच्यों की प्रवृत्ति है (यदि अन्तःपुर की स्त्रियों के पास जाना ही पड़े तो इस प्रकार जाना चाहिये।) इस प्रकार अन्तःपुरिकावृत्त पूर्ण हुआ ॥ ३८ ॥

एभ्य एवं च कारणेभ्यः स्वदारान् रक्षेत् ॥ ३९ ॥
It is for these reasons that one must protect one's wives.

The masters explain that, as far as sexual matters are concerned, the harem must be protected.
