प्रत्ता जनपदकन्या दशमेऽहनि किञ्चिदौपायनिकमुपगृह्य प्रविशन्त्यन्तःपुरमुपभुक्ता एव विसृज्यन्त इत्यान्ध्राणाम् ॥ ३१ ॥

Among the republican tribes [janapada] of the Andhra country, a newlywed girl, in exchange for gifts, is led into the harem after the tenth day and, when the king has enjoyed her, she is released.

english translation

आन्ध्र की प्रथा आन्ध्र देश की प्रथा है कि नवविवाहित कन्या को दसवें दिन कुछ उपहार देकर राजभवन में भेज दिया जाता है और उपभोग करके ही छोड़ते हैं॥ ३१ ॥

वत्सगुल्म की प्रथा - दक्षिण के वत्सगुल्म देश में राज्य के महामन्त्री, सेनापति आदि की खियाँ रात को सेवा के लिये राजा के पास जाती हैं ॥ ३२ ॥

In Vidharbha, pretty country girls are made to reside in the gynoecium fifteen days a month, in order to learn to make love. It is the custom in Vidarbha country that the queens, the girls who play the role of queens, are the most beautiful girls in the kingdom, and each month spend a fortnight in the royal gynoecium.

विदर्भ की प्रथा - विदर्भ देश की यह प्रथा है कि वहाँ राजरानियाँ प्रजावर्ग की सुन्दर स्त्रियों को प्रेम के बहाने महोना महोना, पन्द्रह-पन्द्रह दिन अपने पास रख लेती हैं ॥ ३३ ॥

The custom in Saurashtra is for women of the town and those of the country to be sent, either singly or in a group, to the royal residence.

सौराष्ट्र की प्रथा सौराष्ट्र देश की यह प्रथा है कि राजधानी और बाहर की स्त्रियों समूह के रूप में और एक एक करके राजक्रीड़ा के लिये राजभवन जाती हैं ॥ ३५ ॥
