प्रत्ता जनपदकन्या दशमेऽहनि किञ्चिदौपायनिकमुपगृह्य प्रविशन्त्यन्तःपुरमुपभुक्ता एव विसृज्यन्त इत्यान्ध्राणाम् ॥ ३१ ॥
Among the republican tribes [janapada] of the Andhra country, a newlywed girl, in exchange for gifts, is led into the harem after the tenth day and, when the king has enjoyed her, she is released.
