स्वरं बहिरुपश्रुत्य भवनमागच्छतः किं कृत्यमिति ब्रुवती सज्जा भवनमध्ये तिष्ठेत् ॥ ११ ॥
Hearing his voice outside, when he returns home, she comes to the threshold, well dressed, saying, "What must I do?"

पति का स्वागत — बाहर से घर में प्रवेश करते हुए पति की आवाज सुनते ही क्या कार्य है?" ऐसा मन में विचारते हुए कार्य सम्पादन के लिये भवन के मध्य आँगन में आकर प्रस्तुत हो जाये ॥ ११ ॥

परिचारिकामपनुद्य स्वयं पादौ प्रक्षालयेत् ॥ १२ ॥
Sending the servants away, she bows at her husband's feet.

Even when alone with her master, she never shows herself without her jewels.

अतिव्ययमसद्व्ययं वा कुर्वाणं रहसि बोधयेत् ॥ १४ ॥
In the case of his making excessive or useless expenditure, she scolds him when they are alone.

पति के अधिक व्यय करने या अनावश्यक व्यय करने पर उसे एकान्त में समझाये, सार्वजनिक रूप में लज्जित न करे ॥ १४ ॥

आवाहे विवाहे यज्ञे गमनं सखीभिः सह गोष्ठीं देवताभिगमनमित्यनुज्ञाता कुर्यात् ॥ १५ ॥
She must ask her husband's permission to attend marriage ceremonies -with her girlfriends, or to go to receptions or to the temples. Otherwise she will be suspected of improper behavior.

बहिर्गमन के लिए अनुमति विवाह के समय वर या कन्या के घर जाने, यज्ञादि अनुष्ठानों में सम्मिलित होने, सखियों के साथ खानपान या वार्तागोष्ठी और देवदर्शन के लिये जाने हेतु पति की अनुमति प्राप्त कर ले ॥ १५ ॥
