भायँकचारिणी गूढविश्रम्भा देववत् पतिमानुकूल्येन वर्तेत ॥ १ ॥

एकचारिणी भार्या (पत्नी) को पति को अतिविश्वासपात्र बनकर और पति को देवता मानकर, उसकी चित्तवृत्ति के अनुरूप व्यवहार करना चाहिये ॥ १ ॥

वेश्म च शुचि सुसम्मृष्टस्थानं विरचितविविधकुसुमं श्रणभूमितलं द्यदर्शनं त्रिषवणाचरितबलिकर्म पूजितदेवतायतनं कुर्यात् ॥ ३ ॥
She attends to cleaning the clothes, tidying the rooms, flower arrangements, cleaning the floor, being attractive to look at, performing the three daily rites of offering to the gods and of 'worshiping them at their domestic shrine.

घर की स्वच्छता और पूजाकार्य झाड़-पोंछ और धोकर घर को निर्मल पवित्र रखे, उपयुक्त स्थानों पर सुगन्धित पुष्प आदि उत्पन्न कर उन्हें सजाये, आँगन को स्वच्छ और रमणीय बनाये, प्रातः, मध्याह्न और सायं काल - तीनों समय बलिकर्म करे तथा घर के मन्दिर या पूजागृह में समय पर पूजा करे ।॥ ३॥
