भानोर्दशानुभूतो विदेशवासी वनाद्रिदुर्गचरः॥ द्विजदेववह्निभूपैः शास्त्रैर्भैषज्यतो धनप्राप्तिः॥१॥
At the time when the Sun's Dasa is progressing, the person concerned will live in foreign countries, roam about forests, mountains and fortresses. There will be influx of money through Brahmins, fire, sovereign, the arts and medicines.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptमन्त्राभिचारकुशलो विघातकुशलश्चमूपतिश्चण्डः। विख्यातकर्मनिरतो धीमान्विस्पष्टवागनिष्टश्च॥२॥
He will become clever in the use of Mantras, spells, in creating obstacles to others, will become the head of an army and brave. He will be engaged in a great meritorious work, will become learned, clever in talking and disagreeable.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptव्यालमृगोरगहन्ता दारसुतस्थानवर्जितश्चपलः। ऋणवानदीनवचनो नेत्रोदरदन्तकर्णरोगी स्यात्॥३॥
He will kill wild beasts, deer, and snakes; he will be without wife and children, become bereft of his place and fickle. He will contract debts, will speak harshly and will suffer from eye-disease, belly ache, tooth ache and ear-disease.

Trouble from the Sovereign, thieves, etc. misunderstanding with relations, destruction of cattle, and loss of wealth, these will generally be the effects. I shall now describe the effects with special reference to the several Rasis.

hk transliteration by Sanscriptभानोरुच्चदशायां बहुप्रतापः स्वधर्मकर्मरतः। नृपजनितार्त्तिं लभते पित्रार्जितवित्तदेशकर्माढ्यः॥५॥
During the Sun's Dasa when the Sun is in exaltation, the person concerned will do many courageous deeds; he will be intent in doing religious works. There will be trouble caused by the sovereign. He will inherit paternal property, become popular and famous through his good actions.
