अलिकर्कियुते लग्ने सूर्ये पापान्विते शशी धनगः। गुरुरहिते केन्द्रे स्याच्छतार्धवर्षं च तस्यायुः॥३१॥

Malefics, posited in the 4th and 8th houses from the Lagna or from the Moon, give only a medium lease of life, provided they are neither aspected by nor conjoined with benefics.
