यस्य मासाधिपो रक्तो भग्नो वाऽस्तंगतोऽपि वा। तस्मिन् मासे क्षयं याति प्रसवो न भविष्यति॥२१॥
In the particular month whose lord is afflicted, defeated or eclipsed, the child in the womb will perish and it will not be delivered safe.

गर्भाधाने चरे राशौ दशमे मासि सूयते। स्थिरे चैकादशे मासि ह्युभये द्वादशे सवः॥२२॥
If the Lagna at impregnation be a moveable sign (if the Moon at the time be posited in a ), the delivery will take place in the 10th month; if it be a fixed one, delivery will be in the 11th month ; and if in a dual sign, it will be in the 12th month.

निषेककाले यत्प्रोक्तं फलं प्रश्नेः तदादिशेत्। गर्भप्रश्ने च नारीणामारूढे विषमर्क्षगे॥२३॥
The effects declared for the आधान (inpregnation ) should be applied to queries as well. If the Arudha Lagna, in respect of a query regarding the sex of a child in a woman's womb, be an odd sign -

पुंग्रहेण युते दृष्टे गर्भस्थः पुरुषो भवेत्। पुंराशिस्पर्शने देहे पुमान् भवति निश्चयात् ॥२४॥
- aspected by and conjoined with male planets, then the child will be a male one.

पुरुषस्पर्शने प्रष्टा पुरुषाक्षरमुच्चरेत्। देहस्य दक्षिणे भागे स्पर्शनेन पुमान् भवेत्॥२५॥
If the querist should touch a man, utter a male syllable, or touch the right side of his body, then the child may be a male one.
