तात्कालिकांशसंयुक्ते जीवे जातो न संशयः। तत् त्रिकोणगते वाऽपि ह्युदयारूढयोर्बलात्॥६॥
The Navamsa Rasi occupied by Jupiter or its triangular Rasi will invariably be the Janma Rasi of the querist. As for the Lagna, find the stronger of the two, viz. the Arudha and the Lagna at the time.

कर्तुर्वयोनुमानेन तेषामेवं प्रकल्पयेत्। प्रश्नकाले विलग्नस्य पूर्वार्द्धेऽप्युत्तरायणम्॥७॥
The things mentioned in the previous sloka should be determined as explained below by an inference of the querist’s age: if the Lagna at the time of query belongs to the first half of a Rasi, the birth must have happened in the Uttarayana; . -

परार्द्धे दक्षिणं ब्रूयाज्जन्म सम्पृच्छते बुधः। ऋतुर्वाच्यो दृगाणेशो लग्नसंस्थोऽथवा ग्रहः॥८॥
- if the second half, in the Dakshinayana. Thus should the astrologer declare to the person making the query. And the Ritu of birth should be guessed through the planet occupying or owning the Lagna decanate.

शनिशुक्रकुजा ईशा ऋतूनामुत्तरायणे। दक्षिणे शशिविज्जीवा नाथाः प्रोक्ताः क्रमाद्बुधैः॥९॥
In the Uttarayana, the lords of the three Ritus are Saturn, Venus and Mars, while in the Dakshinayana, the corresponding lords are the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter.

अर्कोदये तु होरायां द्रेक्काणे भास्करस्य वा। ग्रीष्मे जातं विजानीयान्नान्यग्रहदृशा युते॥१०॥
If the Lagna, Hora or Drekkana rising at the time of query belong to the Sun, and be not (conjoined with or) aspected by any other planet, it should be understood that the querist should have been born in the Greeshma Ritu.
