निशिबलिराशौ लग्ने मरणं रात्रौ दिवाबले दिवसे। ग्रहरहिते प्रोक्तफल ग्रहयुक्ते तत्फलं समादेश्यम्॥४४॥
When the Lagna at birth is a night-sign (declared strong at night), the death of the person concerned will happen at night. If the sign in question be a day-sign, it will be at day-time. When there is no planet in the Lagna, the effect declared as due to the Rasi will alone come to pass; else, i, e., when the Lagna is occupied by a planet, the effect due to that planet should also be taken into consideration.
