अतिशयबलयुक्तः शीतगुः शुक्लपक्षे बलविरहितरक्तप्रेक्षितो लग्ननाथः। यदि भवति तपस्वी सन्ततं शोकतप्तो धनजनपरिहीणः कृच्छ्रलब्धान्नपानः॥५४॥
If in the bright half of a month the Moon endowed with exceeding strength, and the lord of the Lagna be aspected by weak Mars, the person born in the Yoga will become an ascetic always troubled by sorrow and misery. He will have neither wealth nor people to help him, and an alterna- tive interpretation is that the Moon (posited in Kumbha) may herself be the lord of the Lagna being aspected by Mars occupying his depression Rasi and therefore weak and will obtain his food after a great effort.
