(अथ कण्टकयोगस्तत्फलं च) द्वित्रिबन्धुस्थितैः सर्वैर्ग्रहैः कण्टक उच्यते। तत्र जातो धनी विद्वान् मध्यमायुरसन्ततिः॥४८॥

If all the planets occupy the 2nd, the 3rd and the 4th houses, the Yoga is called कण्टक—Kantaka. Persons born in the Yoga will be rich and learned. They will be middle-aged.

(atha kaNTakayogastatphalaM ca) dvitribandhusthitaiH sarvairgrahaiH kaNTaka ucyate। tatra jAto dhanI vidvAn madhyamAyurasantatiH॥48॥
