(अथ लग्नाधियोगस्तत्फलं च) षटसप्ताष्टममस्थैलग्नात् साम्यैरपापदृष्टयुतैः। लग्नाधियोग उक्तः पापैः सुखवर्जितभवति॥१७॥

When benefic planets occupy the 6th, the 7th and the 8th houses counted from the Lagna and are also free from the conjunction or aspect of malefics, लग्नाधियोग- Lagnadhiyoga results. If malefic planets be in the said houses, the person concerned will have no happiness at all.

english translation

(atha lagnAdhiyogastatphalaM ca) SaTasaptASTamamasthailagnAt sAmyairapApadRSTayutaiH। lagnAdhiyoga uktaH pApaiH sukhavarjitabhavati॥17॥
