अत्युग्रो निर्विण्णो पितृमातृद्वेषणो निरुत्साहः। कर्तरियोगे पापैः परदेशरतो विषाग्निशस्त्रहतः॥१६॥
Very fierce, overcome with fear and sorrow, hating both the parents and devoid of energy will the peson be, who is born in the कर्तरी (Karthari) Yoga caused by malefic plants; he will dwell in foreign places and his end will be through poison, fire or weapons.

When benefic planets occupy the 6th, the 7th and the 8th houses counted from the Lagna and are also free from the conjunction or aspect of malefics, लग्नाधियोग- Lagnadhiyoga results. If malefic planets be in the said houses, the person concerned will have no happiness at all.

(atha lagnAdhiyogastatphalaM ca) SaTasaptASTamamasthailagnAt sAmyairapApadRSTayutaiH। lagnAdhiyoga uktaH pApaiH sukhavarjitabhavati॥17॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptलग्नाधियोगजातो मन्त्री पृतनापतिर्धरस्वामी। बहुदारवान्विनीतो दीर्घायुर्धर्मवानशत्रुगणः॥१८॥
The person born in the लग्नाधियोग- Lagnadhiyoga will be a minister, a commander of an army or the chief of his clan. He will have many wives. He will be modest in his behaviour, will be long-lived, will lead a virtuous life and will have no enemies.

hk transliteration by Sanscript(अथ पर्वतयोगस्तत्फलं च) उदयान्तकर्महिबुके ग्रहयुक्ते रिःफनैधने शुद्धे। यः कश्चिन्नमगतो योगोऽयं पर्वतो नाम॥१९॥
When planets occupy the 1st, the 7th, the 10th and the 4th houses, and the 12th and the 8th houses are vacant, and the 9th house is occupied, the resulting Yoga is called पर्वत-Parvata.

(atha parvatayogastatphalaM ca) udayAntakarmahibuke grahayukte riHphanaidhane zuddhe। yaH kazcinnamagato yogo'yaM parvato nAma॥19॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptपर्वतयोगे जातो भूपालो धर्मवान् विनीतश्च। ग्रामपुरनगरकर्ता लोके श्रुतवान् युगान्तकीर्तिश्च॥२०॥
One who takes his birth in the Parvatha Yoga will be a king, virtuously disposed, and gentle in disposition. He will be the originator of a village, town or a corporation. He will be learned and endowed with a fame lasting till the end of the Yuga.
