मेषगतज्ञदशायां विज्ञानोत्साहसंगतो धीमान्। शौर्यानृतशाट्यरतो निजधनहीनोऽन्यभाग्यरतः॥६॥
When Mercury is occupying Mesha and when his Dasa is in progress, the person concerned will take delight in teaching others, will be intelligent, power- ful, will utter falsehoods, possess no wealth of his own and will be depending on other's bounty.

सौम्यदशायां वृषभे मातुरनिष्टो धनान्वितः ख्यातः। ऋणवान् बन्धुनिमित्तैः कुदारतनयान्वितो गलार्तिः स्यात्॥७॥
During the Dasa of Mercury posited in Vrishabha, he will displease his mother; he will have money and become famous. He will contract debts for the sake of his relatives; will be cursed with a bad wife, and his sons will be wicked in disposition. He will suffer from disease in the throat.

मिथुने सौम्यदशायामनेकवित्तान्वितोऽतिभोगी स्यात्। नैकसुतदारनाथो द्विमातृको ज्ञातिवल्लभो धीमान्॥८॥
When Mercury occupies Mithuna and his Dasa is in progress, he will be in possession of various kinds of wealth, and enjoyments. He will have wives and children. He will have two mothers, will be a great friend to his paternal relations and intelligent.

बन्धुजनपीडितात्मा विदेशनिरतोऽल्पसौख्यसम्पन्नः। काव्यकलार्जितवित्तश्चन्द्रगृहे बुधदशायां तु॥९॥
With a mind troubled by one's relations, intent in dwelling in foreign countries and with little happiness, the person born spends Mercury’s Dasa through the earnings made with the help of his study of Poetry and Arts, when Mercury is posited in sign Karkataka.

सिंहाश्रितसौम्यदशा ज्ञानधनैश्वर्य वर्जितं जनयेत्। भ्रातृसुखबन्धुहीनः स्त्रीद्वेषी लोकविश्रुतो भवति॥१०॥
When Mercury occupies Simha and his Dasa is in progress, he may lose his brothers; there will be no happiness to him; and all his relations will forsake him. He will hate his wife. He will become celebrated.
